Sweet 16th b'day

The event went really well with the exception of a 'scary neighbour' accusing 1 of the teenagers of doing something quite minor. Adults were stuffed full as I had made haggis tatties and neeps, homemade vegetable soup, homemade chicken curry, baked tatties etc, paninis, pizza and various nibbles etc. I only had around 3 drinks maximum due to having the cooking to do and managed to only desecrate 1 pizza which resembled a Frisbee LOL!! My backache had thankfully eased somewhat on Saturday so managed the cooking and hostessing okay. It wasn't until teatime on Sunday that the remaining teens had left after I fed them of course!! Looked forward to bedtime as my backache was back with a vengeance!

Probs the first time we've ever had a party like it [though had a few kiddies b'day and Halloween parties though!] or as many peeps in the house as it was a full hoose LOL!!

Backache

Sorry not been on very much of late - suffering from a really painful backache at the moment! Been suffering since before Christmas with a lower 'dull' backache - for over a week it's been very painful! Basic activities like getting dressed etc. are all difficult to carry out. We take so much for granted until something goes wrong with our bodies/limbs etc. Signed off work for a fortnight [1 week gone already!] and given prescribed painkillers. Can't believe it as I haven't been off sick from work for at least a couple of years LOL!! Looks like I am going to have to get another doc's appt cos the painkillers aint working.

It's hard to believe that our eldest, Marianne will be 16 yrs old on the 26th of this month!! Rather than have a party, we agreed with Marianne to have some of her friends over for a get-together and sleepover. I've already booked my annual leave for that weekend so will have lots to do nearer the time.

Well everyone, 2008 has gone and we are now in 2009!!

Do I have any NY resolutions? - YES!! I need to lose weight and get fitter and healthier as it'll be my 40th in October - I don't want to be fat and 40 LOL!! And I need to spend more time doing some papercrafting - not really had much time at all in 2008 TBH. I also want to be taking more shots photography-wise too.

Anyway, I raise my glass of cheer to you all and send you very best wishes for 2009!
